Welcome to the Opportunity International Network.

Opportunity International traces its roots back to the earliest days of the microfinance revolution, and we are still working to revolutionize the industry. What David Bussau and the late Al Whittaker began 36 years ago continues today through the passion and shared vision of five Support Partners and 45 Implementing Partners, representing 28 countries and more than 8,000 staff worldwide.

We are motivated by Jesus Christ's call to serve the poor, and this leads us to look out for new ways that we can foster transformation in poor communities through the delivery of financial services. Through the collective efforts of our members, Opportunity is known within the industry for its culture of innovation, commitment to partnership and unwavering focus on serving the world's poor.
