About the Opportunity International Network

Investment Capital

Opportunity International acquires debt financing and equity for microfinance institutions, which enables them to capitalize expansion and meet requirements for long-term growth. Opportunity Transformation Investments Inc. (OTI), the Opportunity Loan Guarantee Fund LLC, Opportunity Microfinance Investments Ltd., and the Balkan Financial Equity Fund serve as the investment vehicles for Opportunity International. Opportunity Microfinance Investments and OTI hold equity in Opportunity banks around the world. The Opportunity Loan Guarantee Fund, a $11.3 million fund raised by a private placement of debt securities, serves as collateral for securing loans to microfinance institutions in their local currency. Opportunity is also serving as the sponsor of the Balkan Financial Sector Equity Fund, which closed at 25 million euro ($32 million) to expand financial services throughout the region.

Mflo And Blue Orchard Securitizations

Opportunity, Symbiotics and the European Investment Fund have partnered to create a 28 million euro ($35.8 million) microfinance securitization — microfinance loan obligations S.A. (MFLO)— to finance opportunity banks throughout Eastern Europe. Opportunity banks in Russia and Albania have also been selected to participate in the Blue Orchard Global Securitization of $106 million for 22 microfinance institutions around the world.
