Richard Marney, senior vice president of product management, leads Opportunity's product development team. Incorporating market research, Richard and his team inventory products currently offered by Opportunity Partners, and they research and develop new products to provide clients.

Richard is currently developing an Education Finance product that will provide credit to private schools. These schools provide much-needed educational opportunities that are often lacking at public institutions. Opportunity provides loans and other services for facility upgrades, books and other instructional materials, as well as technical assistance. Other products include services for agricultural finance, and such other infrastructure as water and sanitation and healthcare providers.

In addition to new products, Richard, a career banker and former university lecturer, helps build Opportunity Partners' capacity to offer more loan products that meet different client needs. His credit training courses provide loan officers with the skills needed to analyze cash flows and structure loans targeted to specific small and medium sized enterprises. So far partners in at least eight countries have received such training, with further courses scheduled.
