Francis’ 35-year banking career began at the Reserve Bank of Malawi, where he served as CEO from 1989 until 1995 and currently serves as chairman. Since leaving the Reserve Bank, he has served on 20 boards within the microfinance and banking industry, including Opportunity MFIs in Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi and Ghana. Francis holds an M.A. in economics from Yale University and a Diploma in monetary economics from St. Andrews University in Edinburgh, Scotland.
