Jean-Philippe Nefve is Opportunity International Network’s chief financial officer. Jean Philippe will be focusing on helping regulated Partners structure their financing in the form of internal and external equity and debt.
Jean-Philippe brings more than 25 years of experience in senior financial executive positions at various international corporations and a background in microfinance. Most recently, Jean-Philippe spent 5 years as chief financial officer at Electro-Motive Diesel, Inc., a leading international freight locomotive manufacturer, with $2 billion annual revenue. Previously he was CFO at Tokheim, where he worked first for its international division and then as the CFO of Tokheim S.A.S., a newly established French holding company that had acquired the 25 European and African corporations. Jean-Philippe also held several senior financial roles with Alcatel where he was CFO of their Latin America and Far East operations.
Before leaving his home country of Belgium, Jean-Philippe was a senior management consultant at Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). He also set up a state-owned microfinance bank in Belgium that provided small loans to unemployed people looking to establish their own business.
Jean-Philippe has a masters in business administration from the Solvay Business School and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the City of Brussels business school. He speaks French, Italian and Spanish.
Jean-Philippe and his wife attend St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic church. He is excited by the “noble and attractive mission” to serve 100 million people by the year 2015.
