Alliance of Philippine Partners in Enterprise Development

The Alliance of Philippine Partners in Enterprise Development, Inc. (APPEND) was founded in February 13, 1991 and is the pioneer network in micro finance and micro enterprise development in the Philippines. The Network was formed to help alleviate poverty and promote national transformation by contributing to the growth and development of God-fearing, socially responsible micro and small entrepreneurs in poor communities nationwide. APPEND has a total of ten (10) member microfinance organizations and one microfinance-oriented thrift bank – the Opportunity Microfinance Bank (OMB)-- all are actively involved in assisting Filipino poor attain better lives through the provision of small loans and savings services. APPEND member organizations have helped more than half a million families establish their micro-businesses and train them in micro enterprise development, leadership and spiritual development. They also address social, health and environmental concerns, thereby creating a significant impact into the lives of the beneficiaries and producing responsible micro entrepreneurs who become the catalysts of change in their respective communities."
