The Association for Opportunity and the Economic Development of Nicaragua (ASODENIC) is headquartered in Ciudad Jardin, Managua, Nicaragua. It was established in March 1995, and received formal approval as an NGO from the Nicaraguan government on August 23 that same year. The purpose of ASODENIC is “to support the hardworking, responsible and entrepreneurial class among the poorest of the poor to attain a better life for themselves, their family, their community and their country.” ASODENIC provides three lending programs – Trust Banks, Solidarity Group and Individual loans - each designed to reach three distinct levels of microenterprises.
