Friends, welcome to my new blog. I’ve been on the job for 5 months now, and am looking forward to sharing my view of Opportunity over the coming weeks.
Travel Update
My aim in these early days is to visit as many Network Members as possible. So far, I’ve been to Tanzania, Kenya, Malawi, Chennai, South Africa and Ghana (visiting both OISL and SAT), and joined board meetings of Opportunity Australia, US, and the UK . I’ve been able to participate in the global HR conference, the Risk and Audit offsite, and the recent Emerging Leaders training program. Before the end of the year I will travel to the US for the Opportunity Network Board meeting, then travel on to Colombia to visit our business there.
A Global Community
As I make my way around the Opportunity world, I’m reminded how big it is. Did you know that if you work for an Opportunity Network member organisation, then you are part of a global community of over 12,000 people in 45 organisations serving more than 5 million Opportunity clients in 28 countries? Wow!
Stay In Touch
That’s why I’ve set up this blog. I’m proud to be part of this Opportunity Community and will do my best to share with you news, ideas, triumphs and challenges from across the Opportunity world.
In return, I’d like to ask you to do 3 things:
- Sign for weekly email updates by clicking here. We’ll send you a short email each week summarising the latest posts and dicussions.
- Add your voice to the conversation. I’d encourage you to comment on the posts and other comments that most interest you. Let’s get a discussion going!
- Send me ideas for future posts. If you have some Opportunity news you’d like to share with the wider community, let me know.
