Dr. Amelia Gonzales

Amelia is one of the Founding Trustees and concurrent Chairman and President for more than 14 years, of Kabalikat Para sa Maunlad na Buhay, Inc. (KMBI), a partner based in Manila, Philippines. She is a Medical Doctor by profession, and has more than 42 years of successful practice in the field of medicine. She has been in the Board of Directors of the Valenzuela Medical Society for more than ten years now. She was recognized internationally as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Medical and Public Affairs Department of George Washington University Medical Center, USA in 1977. She has earned a Certificate of Completion in the field of Leadership and Evangelism at Haggai Institute of Singapore in 1982. She also has extensive experience as businesswoman, administrator and leader, possessing core values of integrity and honesty, commitment to excellence, productivity, and genuine service. She is actively involved, being an officer and/or member of various professional, civic, social, and non-profit organizations. She currently holds the position of Vice Chairman for Alliance of Philippine Partners in Enterprise and Development (APPEND), and was elected as its Philippine representative to Opportunity International Network Board last April 2004. She is the present Chairman of the Board of the Valenzuela United Methodist Church, and past President of the Northwest Metro Manila District Women’s Society of Christian Service composed of 25 local churches. She was the past Secretary of the Board of Harris Memorial College, a development center for women. A loving wife to Dr. Angelito F. Gonzales (deceased), a wonderful mother of four, and a dedicated servant and follower of Jesus Christ.
