Richard Leftley

Richard Leftley, President of Opportunity International Microinsurance Agency, joined Opportunity’s technical support team in January 2002 in order to develop and implement micro-insurance. He previously worked as a reinsurance broker for Benfield Greig Ltd, the world’s largest independent reinsurance broking group. Since joining Opportunity International, Richard has worked throughout Africa, the Philippines, India, Albania, and Mexico to develop a range of insurance products focused on meeting the needs of clients. Richard is the author of the recent CGAP publication “Microinsurance Good and Bad Practices” and is an undisputed leader in the field.
